An experienced practitioner of soft tissue mobilization, Bill McDonald has dedicated his multidisciplinary therapy practice to the treatment of muscle and soft tissue disorders since 1990. He holds a BS degree in exercise and sports science from Southwest Texas State University. During his extensive postgraduate education, he has studied under acknowledged masters in the various sub-fields composing his specialty. Areas of advanced training include myofacial release, neuromuscular therapy, sports message, biosmatics, vibro-therapy and biomagnetic analgesia. His concentration in Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) is a result of an ongoing study with kinesotherapist Aaron L. Mattes, originator of the AIS method, which began in 1992. By working with world-class athletes and training alongside health care professionals around the country, Bill has attained elite status in his field. His success in achieving effective results has led to something rare in his profession: many medical doctors refer patients to him. In fact, physicians are among his most enthusiastic endorsers.
After 40 years of studying the body, working with my own physical challenges and 17 years in the professional field of body work. I have found that the most inclusive way to deal with soft tissue problems is to release, lengthen and stretch, flush the tissue and lengthen and stretch the tissue again to finish the session.
My goal is educate and empower the person to be able to take care of themselves.
